Course info
This course will provide students with the opportunity to develop an understanding of, and practical skills in, all aspects of animal care. It includes anatomy and physiology, animal biology, practical animal handling, animal health and welfare, animal nursing, management of animal collections, behaviour, nutrition and business management.

How much will it cost?
Free for age sixteen to eighteen; £950 for year 1 for age nineteen plus and £750 for year 2 courses which started in 2007; potentially free to nineteen to twenty four years old learners without a qualification at this level; £100 for additional costs

Assessment method
Students will be assessed through investigation reports, short tests and written assignments.

Entry Requirements
Students should have four GCSEs at grade C or above, which must include English, Maths and Science or a BTEC First Diploma in Animal Care at Distinction or equivalent.
